Powering Progress: A joint Venture to strengthen our Renewable Energy portfolio

Albatross Renewables

Is the joint venture borned from the combined efforts of Tikuna and EBCO Energia, aimed at bolstering their renewable energy project development portfolios. It represents the partnership of two renowned and accomplished solar and wind energy developers, who have united their experience and expertise to identify and develop top-notch utility-scale assets, leading the way towards a greener energy future.

Tikuna

Is a pure play developer of solar photovoltaic and wind energy projects with a special focus on the PMGD (for the Spanish: Pequeños Medios de Generación Distribuida, meaning Small Means of Distributed Generation) segment in Chile (projects between 3MW and 9 MW). It has been in the market for more than 8 years and has developed and sold ~110 MWs of inhouse developed projects. It holds a strong position in the local market with a robust pipeline of additional wind and solar projects and relations with the main players. Through one of its partner companies, GEOM, Tikuna can provide engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) to the projects it develops.

Objetive

At Tikuna we believe in the need to contribute to the environment through business activity, and furthermore, we are convinced that the matrix of the future will be composed of renewable energy, where both distributed generation and large power plants will play a relevant role.
At Tikuna we work to make that future a reality.

Innovation and the paradigm shift regarding our relationship with nature and local communities are at the center of each of our projects without neglecting the returns required by our investors and partners in each project.

History

Tikuna is a Chilean company founded in 2015, dedicated mainly to the development of renewable energy projects.

EBCO Energía

Is an Independent Power Producer, utility scale solar photovoltaic and wind projects developer and engineering, procurement and construction company (“EPC”), which also offers operation and maintenance (“O&M”) services. The company’s integrated experience allows it to provide a comprehensive and integrated view of the energy project’s lifespan to its developments. EBCO Energía has been dedicated to the development and sale of electricity generation assets for more than 10 years.

Objetive

The company’s objective is to be a long-term partner to its clients, adding value in all stages of energy projects’ life and providing comprehensive solutions. As a partner of EBCO Ltd, a Chilean-owned construction company with over 30 years of experience, EBCO Energia strives to identify market opportunities, push beyond its own limits, and overcome all obstacles.

History

The company started developing renewable energy projects in 2012, focusing on small scale run-off-rivers, which it still operates along with other energy generation assets. It rapidly evolved to the Chilean utility scale wind and solar photovoltaic market through a partnership with Renewable Energy Systems (“RES”), one of the world’s largest independent renewable energy companies with more than 40 years trajectory in the energy market.

Our Values

Our projects are developed by a vallty experienced team and are strategically located in key areas. Our projects are built upon clean and adaptable technologies, which are already at an advanced development stage. This ensures a substantial reduction in project risks.
